CREATING YOUR OWN RAINBOWS

Today as I was watering my lawn, a rainbow appeared through the spray of the water that was hitting the sun behind me. As it appeared I had an instant revelation..you don't need a storm to create a rainbow, you can create them on your own!
For those that know me, they know I have an affinity for rainbows. I see them everywhere and to me, they symbolize peace, enlightenment and love. Everytime I see a rainbow, it reminds me that all is well and to remember the lightness of my being.
The revelation I had was a great metaphor for me since a few months ago I vowed to grow and learn through loving and gentle situations (rainbow) , not through pain and struggle anymore (storms). To do this, I promised myself to choose people and situations that are aligned with the truth of who I am, I chose not to settle anymore.
In the past, I always believed that you had to have pain and struggle to become strong and know who you are. Don't get me wrong, I do have gratitude for the darkness of my past because it really showed me the light, I just choose not to be defined by the darkness anymore. I know my light will lead me to fullfillment and happiness.
From this place of knowing and having choice, I have decided to create beauty and magic in my life, create amazing rainbows right now without having to go through a "storm". I realized that it is not God that says we must learn the hard way, it is simply our choosing to do so.
You have so much control and freedom in your life because you have choice.
Right now, you can choose your thoughts, how you react to the world, how you react to challenges and what situations and people you want in your life..EVERYTHING is your choice. You are truly never stuck in your life, in fact you are always free because you do have the power of choice and free will. You do have the power to change your life right now and find your rainbows.
